Conference Objectives are :
Part 1: Surgical Complications with Dental Implants

• Know the causes of surgical complications
• Understand the effect of a knowledge of anatomy on implant complications
• Prevent or minimize complications by applying the knowledge gained from this presentation
Part 2: Factors Affecting Implant Loss

• Know the implant loss rates associated with each type of implant treatment
• Identify the factors that cause increased implant loss

Part 3: Soft Tissue and Esthetic Complications with Dental Implants

• Identify the types of soft tissue complications that occur with dental implants
• Identify the factors that can prevent or minimize soft tissue complications
• Describe how to retain interdental papillae as well as mucosal form and position

Part 4: Mechanical Complications with Dental Implants

• Identify the most common mechanical complications associated with dental implants
• Understand the factors that create overloading of implants and prostheses
• Understand the importance of implant placement in minimizing complications
• Know how to design crowns and prostheses when the implant positions are not ideal
