2016 Classic Lectures in Sports Medicine Imaging - A Video CME Teaching Activity is organized by docmedED.com Educational Symposia (ESI) ON-DEMAND and will be held from Jul 01, 2016 - Jun 30, 2019.

The target audience for this medical event is designed to educate radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and referring physicians who order musculoskeletal MRI studies. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 26.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM.

Description :
Sports related injuries require timely diagnosis and appropriate management for a quick recovery in all athletes; novice to professional. This program is structured to provide a detailed review of imaging specific injuries with arthroscopic and orthopedic surgery correlation. Faculty has been chosen to provide a well-rounded multidisciplinary review of sports medicine imaging, surgical techniques and treatment options.

Objectives:
• Incorporate state of the art sequences and protocols for a variety of sports related injury into clinical practice.
• Assess patients with joint pathology in a non-invasive manner utilizing MRI and ultrasound.
• Recognize the strengths and limitations of MRI for the management of sports related injuries.
• Describe the MR appearance of common musculoskeletal pathology and differentiate this pathology from other causes of abnormal signal.
• Correlate surgical arthroscopic and MR image findings of various sports injuries.
• Demonstrate an increased knowledge of surgical procedures as they relate to various sports injury and the impact MR imaging has on patient management.
• Discuss the utility of musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnosis and direction of treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.
