ABIM MOC Statement

Learner should be expected to recognize high risk populations for child abuse and how to identify signs of child abuse in an individual patient

Objective(s):
As a result of this educational activity, webcast participants will be able to: RECOGNIZE factors that increase the likelihood of child abuse in a pediatric trauma patient; and IDENTIFY rationale and methods of screening for child abuse in the emergency department. You’ll also learn about the following:

• How good health providers are at identifying child abuse
• Prevention is possible
• Child Help National Child Abuse Hotline
