Intended Audience:
This activity is intended for psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other health care professionals who manage patients with major depressive disorder (MDD).

Credit Designation
The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine designates this enduring material for a maximum of 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
 
ABIM MOC:
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.0 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Conference Objectives
• Identify patients whose MDD is not diagnosed or whose MDD is not being adequately treated in the primary care setting.
• Create a comprehensive plan to work with patients in managing their MDD.
• Evaluate specific patient cases to determine when mental health consult is necessary.
• Design a collaborative plan to work with specialists in managing patients with complicated or difficult-to-treat MDD.
• Integrate measurement-based tools available in the EHR into the management of patients with MDD.
