OVERVIEW

Cases: Clinical Pearls for Managing Influenza in Children is organized by Pri-Med and will be held from Oct 11, 2018 - Oct 30, 2019. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 0.50  AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Overview :
These two cases provide evidence-based clinical pearls for managing influenza in the pediatric population, with an emphasis on identification of children at high risk of influenza complications, influenza testing, timing of treatment, and dosing of recommended antivirals. 

Learning Objectives :
• Diagnose and promptly treat influenza in accordance with national guidelines and emerging evidence 
• Appropriately utilize approved antiviral medications to better treat influenza based on efficacy and safety data, so as to reduce the symptoms, prevent associated complications, and reduce the burden of disease
