Cancer Summaries and Commentaries: Update from Chicago: Castrate Resistant Prostate Cancer and Advanced Melanoma is organized by Physicians Education Resource, LLC (PER).
The targeted audience for this medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and fellows who treat patients with genitourinary cancers and/or skin and other cutaneous malignancies. Urologists, dermatopathologists, pathologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, researchers, nuclear medicine physicians, and other health care professionals interested in the treatment of genitourinary cancers and skin and other cutaneous malignancies will be invited to participate.
Update from Chicago: Castrate Resistant Prostate Cancer and Advanced Melanoma is an online activity focused on new data recently presented at international oncology meetings. It includes commentary that will provide insight into how the new data fit into the current field, and how to apply these findings to clinical practice to improve patient care. The activity will consist of 6 summaries of key clinical data by malignancy area (castration-resistant prostate cancer and melanoma).
At the conclusion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
>Evaluate emerging clinical data regarding treatments for genitourinary cancers
>Assess how emerging data on treatments for genitourinary cancers can be used to improve the management of patients with these diseases
>Identify appropriate clinical trials examining novel targeted agents that are designed to benefit patients with genitourinary cancers
>Incorporate data on newly approved agents and treatment approaches in current development for melanoma, including targeted therapies, regional therapies, and immunotherapies
>Evaluate emerging clinical data regarding new agents and evolving strategies for the treatment of melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and other cutaneous malignancies, and apply clinical trial data appropriately in order to optimize the outcome of individual patients
