OVERVIEW

Burst CME: Improving Outcomes for Your Patient with Vitiligo is organized by Physicians' Education Resource, LLC (PER).

Release Date: June 22, 2022
Expiration Date: June 22, 2023

Activity Overview:
The depigmented skin lesions characteristic of vitiligo are much more than a cosmetic issue, and they can have a profound effect on an individual’s quality of life. Once a diagnosis is made, treatment options and psychosocial impact must both be considered. No FDA-approved therapies are currently available for patients with vitiligo, but emerging options like melanocyte-stimulating hormone analogs, prostaglandin E2, F2? analogs and Janus kinase inhibitors may offer new targeted therapy for this challenging condition.

This online educational activity is designed to provide expert interpretation of new and emerging data on the treatment of vitiligo, with a forward-looking perspective on how new agents might impact clinical practice. The essentials of clinical presentation, current and emerging treatment strategies, and clinical trial data for emerging treatments will be presented in a multimedia format, including a series of audio interviews with an expert thought leader that are integrated into text-based elements.

Learning Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
• Discuss the clinical features of vitiligo that contribute to a diminished quality of life
• Summarize the recommended therapeutic options for the management of vitiligo
• Analyze clinical trial data of investigational therapies for the treatment of vitiligo

Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
