Adherence to the medication regimen we prescribe is critical to the therapeutic outcome we seek, but patients, in general—and communities of color, particularly—have surprisingly low adherence rates. When patients come to us with a problem and then do not use our solution, everyone’s time is wasted. Learn the various causes of low medication adherence and examine ways we can improve these poor outcomes.
