OVERVIEW

Breast Imaging: A Practice-Based Approach Online Course is organized by American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) and would be held during Aug 10, 2015 - Aug 09, 2018.

This Online Course will provide you with comprehensive education across the spectrum of breast imaging, including changes in the 5th Edition of the BI-RADS® Atlas for mammography, ultrasound, and MRI.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to distinguish critical knowledge, communications, and image interpretation skills gaps; assess and distinguish breast tumors utilizing the various imaging modalities; appraise breast density, both qualitative and quantitative; compare and contrast the various imaging modalities and appropriate use for breast imaging; increase working knowledge of the new changes in the 5th edition of BI-RADS lexicon for mammography, ultrasound and MRI; describe common errors and pitfalls in breast imaging interpretation; describe the risk levels associated with dense breast tissue; identify systems barriers to improving diagnoses, communication with surgeon colleagues, and increasing communication with peers; improve image interpretation skills; and apply practice-based strategies for mitigating the occurrence of errors define performance improvement strategies and test those strategies in practice.
