OVERVIEW
Brain Aging and Cognitive Decline : What Clinicians and Caregivers Need to Know is organized by Pri-Med and would be held during May 18, 2016 - May 18, 2019. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
New technologies allow doctors to detect and diagnose problems early, and symptomatic treatments can improve symptoms temporarily. However, no disease-modifying treatment is yet available. Genetics account for part of the risk for the average individual, and several non-genetic behaviors, or modifiable risk factors (e.g., diabetes, obesity, physical inactivity), account for a large proportion of cases worldwide.
Objectives :
• Discuss the latest methods for detecting and treating Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias
• Develop awareness of new research designed to improve early recognition and treatment of age-related cognitive decline
• Identify behaviors and lifestyle factors that reduce the risk for Alzheimer’s disease and delay onset of symptoms
