Biomechanical Medicine Clinic - Innovations in Prosthetics and Rehab is organized by University of North Texas (UNT) Health Science Center Continuing Education and will be held during Jan 26, 2017 - Jan 26, 2019.
The target audience for this medical event is physicians, physical therapists, social workers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 0.60 CNE Contact hours.
Conference Description :
Due to trauma or disease process, approximately 1.7 million Americans have lost a limb. For many of these persons, a prosthesis can significantly improve quality of life. This presentation will explore the current and future capabilities of one biomechanical medicine clinic where innovations in prosthetics and rehab enhance mobility and independence for patients.
Conference Objectives are :
• Discuss issues with Medicare, Medicaid and other Insurances with prosthetic care
• Discuss issues with the prescribing and manufacturing of lower limb prosthetics
• Discuss issues with specific functions of future prosthetics
• Discuss rehab challenges with prosthetic patients and others with neuromuscular disorders
