Beauty Through Energy - The Evolving Role of Microfocused Ultrasound is organized by XMedica and will be held from Nov 21, 2018 - Nov 11, 2020. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Target Audience:
This CME-certified activity is primarily intended and designed to educate physicians in the CORE aesthetic specialties: Dermatologists, Facial Plastic Surgeons, Oculoplastic Surgeons and Plastic Surgeons.
Conference Description:
Nonsurgical skin tightening and body contouring is growing in popularity due to reduced downtime and improved outcomes. Technology continues to improve and there are many options for the aesthetic practitioner including microfocused ultrasound, RF, cryolipolysis and high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology. Microfocused ultrasound (MFU) has demonstrated impressive results in skin tightening/body contouring. This option requires understanding of the specific technology, proven treatment protocols and proper patient selection. The investment for any of these technologies in the aesthetic practice is substantial and it behooves the clinician to be fully educated to make appropriate decisions. In this CME-certified course, Dr. Sabrina Fabi and Dr. Julius Few review MFU technology and how they have effectively incorporated it into their practices.
Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Identify the different nonsurgical technology options for skin tightening.
• Describe proper patient selection when utilizing microfocused ultrasound technology.
• Identify best treatment protocols for specific areas of skin tightening when using microfocused ultrasound.
Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
