Antibiotic-resistant bacteria are a major problem both nationally and globally. Novel antibiotic options are being developed for treatment of multidrug resistant Gramnegative bacterial infections. This activity is intended to make pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and nurses aware of these novel antibiotics to recognize their potential clinical utility, pharmacology, adverse effects, and clinical pearls as well as evaluate available literature on their use for treatment of such infections.
