Today on MedNet21, we're going to discuss Approach to Pulmonary Nodules.

Viewing this presentation will provide learners with a framework to approach incidental pulmonary nodules as well as those identified on lung cancer screening examinations. Learners should also be able to identify nodule characteristics suggestive of benign and malignant etiology.

Objective(s):
As a result of this educational activity, webcast participants will be able to: UNDERSTAND the basic approach to management of pulmonary nodules; and UNDERSTAND the difference between nodules identified on lung cancer screening examinations and incidentally discovered pulmonary nodules. You’ll also learn about the following:
• Causes of pulmonary nodules
• Risk stratification and pulmonary nodules
• Bronchoscopic versus CT-guided needle biopsy
• Contrast-enhanced versus non-contrast CT scans
• Whether everyone should get a screening chest CT
