Anticoagulant-Related Bleeding: An Update for Pharmacists is organized by Power-Pak C.E. - Continuing Education for Pharmacists & Pharmacy Technicians and will be held from Dec 14, 2017 - Dec 31, 2019.

Target Audience:
This accredited activity has been designed for pharmacists.

Goal:
To inform and educate pharmacists in a variety of practice settings regarding the management of anticoagulant-related bleeding.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
• Describe the incidence of warfarin-related bleeding events
• Develop a treatment plan for a patient with an elevated international normalized ratio (INR) without bleeding
• Develop a treatment plan for a patient with warfarin-related bleeding
• Differentiate between 3-factor and 4-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (PCC) products
• Identify contraindications, precautions, and adverse effects of the 4-factor PCC product
• Summarize the evidence for bleeding related to non-warfarin oral anticoagulants.
