This course teaches how to support your end-of-life patients with therapies intended to reduce or relieve distressing symptoms, by communicating better, and coordinating care with other health and spiritual professionals.

Outcome Objectives:
As a result of completing this activity, the participant will be better able to:
• Manage difficult symptoms commonly seen in palliative care and end-of-life patients.
• Communicate bad news effectively.
• Coordinate palliative care between professionals and across institutional settings.
• Refer a patient for hospice and end-of-life care.
