Course Description :
This course is a discussion of the evidence-based data that addresses the management of hypoxemic patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
Learning Objectives :
• Describe the beneficial effects of high-flow nasal cannula and noninvasive ventilation (NIV) in patients with hypoxemia respiratory failure.
• Employ an evidence-based approach to lung-protective ventilation.
• Implement evidence-based strategies for ventilator support and adjunctive therapies in patients utilizing both pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic techniques.
