Conference Overview :
Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis are chronic, immune-mediated disorders affecting the skin and joints, respectively. A significant number of patients with psoriatic arthritis experience psoriasis symptoms prior to developing arthritis. This on-demand webcast will emphasize the need for pharmacists to proactively ask patients with psoriasis about joint pain, review the importance of using the CASPAR criteria to help in early diagnosis and treatment, and discuss managed care considerations for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
Conference Objectives :
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
• Compare the PASI scores of the newer psoriasis therapies to traditional treatment options
• Apply a PsA screening algorithm to identify patients who require treatment
• Examine clinical data supporting new therapies for PsA
• Provide a strategy to identify the appropriate patient populations who will benefit from the new biologic agents
