American Society of Hematology (ASH) : Review of Practice Changing Research is organized by City of Hope and would be held during Feb 10, 2017 - Feb 10, 2018.

The target audience for this medical event for Hematologists, Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Internists and other allied health care professionals who treat patients with hematologic malignancies. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Performance Gap Imperative :

Determining which treatment approach is most appropriate for a given patient requires careful consideration of patient-specific characteristics, physician expertise and available health-system treatment resources. Our distinguished faculty will review key highlights from the 2016 ASH meeting with special emphasis on current clinical management approaches to these and other hematological malignancies.

Objectives :
At the end of this continuing medical education activity, participants should be able to:

• Profile and discuss results from clinical trials in hematologic malignancies reported at the 2016 American Society of Hematology (ASH) Meeting, putting them into clinical context and into the perspective of current clinical practice guidelines
• Integrate novel agents and treatment approaches into standard clinical practice to improve outcomes for patients with hematologic malignancies
• Assess the safety and efficacy of recent clinical advances in the management of patients with hematological malignancies
• Describe patient factors such as age, previous treatments and comorbidities that need to be considered when devising individual regimens for patients with hematologic malignancies
