American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Health Informatics Essentials: Leadership, Professionalism, Strategy, and Transformation is organized by American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA).

Leadership, Professionalism, Strategy, and Transformation is a component of AMIA’s Health Informatics Essentials, a series of educational offerings that promote the profession of health informatics and its power to transform health care.

Learning Objective:
After participating in this activity, the learner should be better able to:
Demonstrate knowledge of concepts and skills needed to lead development and implementation of health informatics plans, strategies, and policies that strengthen health care and public health organizations

Modules:
Leadership, Professionalism, Strategy, and Transformation offers learners 21 lectures focusing on fundamental concepts in health informatics. 

The video lectures, ranging in length from 8 to 28 minutes, are organized into the following five modules:  

  • Module 1: Organizational Leadership
  • Module 2: Collaboration/Project Methods
  • Module 3: Scanning, Strategy, and Innovation
  • Module 4: Business Planning, Budgeting, and Finance
  • Module 5: Training and Communication

Accreditation Statement:
The American Medical Informatics Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation Statement:
The American Medical Informatics Association designates this enduring material for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
