Nearly 50 ALS genes have now been identified. Robert Brown, DPhil, MD, University of Massachusetts, will highlight ongoing genetic research in ALS and its implications for therapy development in ALS.

After this session, participants will be better prepared to do the following in practice:
• Diagnose diverse categories of ALS and FTD.
• Understand new concepts in the pathogenesis of neurodegeneration.
• Review new options for therapy that are predicated on these advances in ALS genetics.
