OVERVIEW
Advances in the Management of Chronic Gout is organized by Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education and Will be held during Aug 24, 2017 - Aug 24, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event is physicians, internists, general practitioners, rheumatologists, and other medical professionals who manage patients with gout. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
The goal of this educational activity is to broaden the knowledge base of participants and to enhance their competence in management strategies for patients with chronic gout and thus improve the care of this patient population.
Conference Objectives are :
• Discuss the role of MSU crystals in the activation and dysregulation of inflammasome function in the pathogenesis of gout.
• Review the criteria for confirming the diagnosis of gout.
• Summarize the current guidelines for the management of chronic gout.
• Evaluate the therapeutic targets in a treat to target approach of gout.
