OVERVIEW
Advanced Rheumatology Course is organized by American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and will be held during Jan 01, 2017 - Jan 01, 2019.
The target audience for this medical event is for rheumatology fellows-in-training, primary care providers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, primary care physicians/internists, residents or providers new to rheumatology.
The Advanced Rheumatology Course is a comprehensive, innovative online course designed to expand the knowledge and practical skills of providers in rheumatology practice, academic training, and primary care.
Conference Objectives are:
• Assess, manage, and evaluate patients with rheumatic diseases
• Describe the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner and physician assistant in the management of rheumatic diseases
• Describe the impact of rheumatic diseases on individuals and society.

• Musculoskeletal Structure and Function and Inflammation and Immunity
• Rheumatic Disease Classification and Framework for Clinical Decision Making
• Laboratory Evaluation
• Imaging of Arthritis: Approach to the Diagnosis of Inflammatory Disease
• Documentation, Coding and Practice Issues
• Therapeutic Interventions and Resources.
Adult Modules :
• Osteoarthritis
• Rheumatoid Arthritis and Seronegative Inflammatory Arthropathies
• Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
• Scleroderma, Myositis and Sjögrens Syndrome
• Vasculitis, Arteritis and PMR
• Crystal-induced Arthropathies
• Pain Syndromes
• Spondylarthropathies
• Infectious Processes
• Metabolic Bone Disorders.
Pediatric Modules :
• Chronic Arthropathies of Childhood
• Pediatric Connective Tissue Diseases (CTD): Systemic Lupus, Juvenile Dermatomyositis, and Scleroderma
• Pediatric Non-inflammatory Musculoskeletal Pain.
