Dr. Dall will be discussing what advanced lipids and inflammatory biomarkers mean along with their roles.
Objectives:
• Discuss the utility of novel cardiovascular risk markers in primary vs. secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and among patients with additional comorbidities
• Describe the differences between LDL cholesterol, Apo B and LDL-P and the respective lipid subclasses and their role in the atherogenicity of lipid profiles
• Explain the roles of pharmaceutical and lifestyle interventions in CVD risk reduction
• List ways in which advanced lipid panels and inflammatory markers may refine dietary interventions to maximize CVD risk reduction
