Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is an inflammatory disease that affects the nasal mucosa and paranasal sinuses. Patients with CRSwNP experience a high symptom burden including nasal congestion, loss of smell, rhinorrhea, and emotional/sleep symptoms, all of which have been linked to decreased quality of life. Management of CRSwNP can be particularly challenging in rural and underserved communities, where resources and access to specialty care are limited. In this CME/CE activity, expert faculty will review the pathophysiology of CRSwNP, diagnostic criteria and best practices for assessment, and emerging biologic targets and treatment options. Strategies for improving multidisciplinary management of CRSwNP in rural and underserved populations will also be discussed.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
• Describe the pathophysiology and biological mechanisms involved in CRSwNP
• Summarize the efficacy and safety data of new and emerging biologic treatment options for CRSwNP
• Identify appropriate patients with CRSwNP for biologic therapy
• Utilize strategies for improving multidisciplinary care and management of CRSwNP in rural and underserved populations.
