Activity Description:
This 30-minute CME-accredited program highlights the latest clinical research about acromegaly, a rare endocrine disorder. Common symptoms include subtle skeletal overgrowth; soft tissue swelling (tongue, heart, kidney, colon, and vocal cords); unusually prominent forehead and heavy brow ridge; protruding lower jaw; overbite; skin thickening; increased shoe and ring size; hypertension; increased perspiration; headaches; paresthesia; and sexual dysfunction.

There are several orphan drugs approved and/or in development to treat patients with acromegaly. New clinical data was presented at ENDO 2023 about several of these treatments as well as methods to improve diagnosis and monitor disease progression.

This CME program, hosted by Wenyu Huang, MD, PhD, Associate Professor at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL provides an overview of the latest research presented at ENDO 2023 focused on acromegaly.
