Strategically developed to promote the care team’s awareness of HHT and galvanize optimization of HHT-associated IDA management, this series of Ace the Case sessions will highlight key teaching points and clinical pearls in the real-world management of patients with HHT and associated ID/IDA, inclusive of current guideline recommendations and expert best practices for safely and effectively using IV iron supplementation in the setting of HHT.

This case-based educational session follows a 31-year-old man with a history of frequent and bothersome nosebleeds who presents to clinic with persistent fatigue symptoms. Key teaching points highlighted in this case include hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) sign/symptom recognition, standard-of-care diagnostic workup, and an introduction to iron deficiency (ID) management best practices.
