AANA Educator Series: Principles and Goals of Writing Curriculum is organized by American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA).

Description:
Despite the importance of curriculum development within a nurse anesthesia educational program, little has been done to develop this skill in the CRNA clinical educator.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe the attributes of a successful curriculum design. 
  • Identify the resources required to write curriculum. 
  • Discuss key curricular elements for nurse anesthesia education for all programs. 
  • Compare the differences in curriculum between a practice doctoral program housed in a college of nursing with a practice doctoral program housed in college of nursing versus another college of health professions.
