OVERVIEW
A Clinician's Guide to Bridging the Gap Between Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and cardiovascular (CV) disease (CVD) : How to Improve Patient Outcomes is organized by Pri-Med and will be held during Jun 29, 2017 - Jun 29, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event is close gaps in care for patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) who have or are at risk for cardiovascular (CV) disease (CVD). This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Overview :
Type 2 diabetes (T2DM) is a global epidemic and the prevalence is increasing in the United States. The nature of diabetes is such that it can lead to cardiovascular (CV) disease (CVD) and other serious comorbid conditions. In fact, CVD is the major cause of mortality and morbidity in people with T2DM.
Learning Objectives :
• Assess CV risk across the continuum of T2DM and how glucose-lowering therapies may support the management of patients with T2DM
• Describe the effects of glucose-lowering agents on CVD and mortality in patients with T2DM
• Formulate patient-specific hyperglycemia treatment regimens for complex patients with T2DM, in order to minimize CV risk
Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
