Program Overview:
The 2021 Sterile Compounding Update is a knowledge-based activity designed for pharmacists and technicians who wish to earn 4.00 hours of CE credit for Sterile Compounding certification maintenance. The course aims to expand participants' professional skills and expertise in areas relating to sterile compounding, while staying abreast in current compounding practice trends.

This program consists of 7 videos and downloadable resources in PDF format. To begin, take the ungraded pre-test in a module below. Review the module's video and handout(s), then complete the post-test ( > 70% within 5 attempts) and evaluation. CPE credit will automatically upload to CPE Monitor (allow 7 days).

Learning Objectives:
• Discuss selected terminology used in sterile compounding
• Demonstrate hand positions that minimize risk of shadowing
• Setup LAFW (hood) to optimize workflow
• Identify shadowing of critical sites and recommend corrections
