Course Overview
COVID-19, an infectious disease caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-COV-2, has caused significant loss of human life and extraordinary disruption. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have learned a good deal, but the outbreak continues to change, with new waves of disease affecting different regions of the world and with the appearance of new viral variants. Where is the pandemic heading and what is the role of widespread vaccination in ending the crisis phase? In this webinar, recorded on June 3, 2021, Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Eric Rubin discuss lessons learned and remaining challenges in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.
