Get SMART (Safe Means of Administering the Right Therapy) has been updated with new content based on the recent FDA Blueprint for pain management. This pain management curriculum now features an adaptive learning format that allows you to test-out of what you already know. Learn about the latest in pain management and earn no-cost CME! Topics include:

1. Basics of pain management
2. Pharmaceutical vs. non-pharmaceutical treatments
3. What you need to know about opioids including:
      I. OUD vs. Dependence
      II. Special precautions 
      III. Patient-provider agreements
      IV. Risk calculators and other resources

Earn up to 3.0 CME/CE/MOC credits (including pharmacology)!

Learning Objectives:
After completing this activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
• Evaluate and initiate pain management therapy.
• Identify patients with opioid use disorder.
• Perform effective counseling with patients and caregivers about the safe opioid analgesics, including proper storage and disposal.
• Explain how to modify doses and discontinue use of opioid analgesics.
