Communication Strategies for Seriously Ill Patients is organized by Tucson Hospitals Medical Education Program (THMEP).

Learning Objectives:

  • Lead conversations with patients and families about their goals of care (GOC).
  • Develop patient/family centered plans of care.
  • Understand importance of documenting GOC conversations. 
  • Understand TMC policies in regards to advance care planning documents. 
  • Describe continuing support systems in place to foster communication development.
