Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify key modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors and prevention strategies based on evidence-based practice.
  • Recognize the signs and symptoms of a stroke in various settings using standardized assessment tools.
  • Explain the critical and time-sensitive role of healthcare professionals in the care of a stroke patient.
  • Apply knowledge of diagnostic imaging and acute treatment protocols.
  • Summarize the essential components of post-stroke care.
