This continuing professional education self-study short course includes a required reading of an article that reviews important human studies that have assessed the relationship of dietary cholesterol with plasma and lipoprotein cholesterol concentrations and cardiovascular disease risk and explore methodological issues that contribute to a controversy over the topic. The summary provides guidance to dietetic professionals with recommendations related to dietary cholesterol intake they can share with their patients. A case-study-based CPE program assists the learner to apply the information to their work setting. This self-study course includes required reading, a downloadable course document, and an online exam with multiple-choice, case study-based questions. This course exam includes 8 questions. Upon passing the test, the learner can download and print the certificate.
