Course Description: 
Cardiopulmonary 106, Airway Clearance Techniques, is a 2-hour course designed for the intermediate clinician interested in learning about the application of various airway clearance techniques. This course will review postural drainage, percussion, vibration/shaking, manual hyperinflation, the active breathing cycle technique, autogenic drainage, positive expiratory pressure, high-frequency chest wall oscillation, as well as intrapulmonary percussive ventilation. The advantages and disadvantages of each airway clearance technique will be addressed along with the effectiveness of various techniques.

• List 5 advantages and 5 disadvantages of various airway clearance techniques
• Describe the type of equipment used for various airway clearance techniques
