Boundaries in Marriage Course is organized by Genesis Continuing Education (CE) Group. This course has been approved for a maximum of 11 CE Credit Hours.
Course Overview:
Boundaries in Marriage is a natural extension of the principles developed by Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend in their breakthrough text, Boundaries. However, there is no need for clinicians to read the first book prior to mastering Boundaries in Marriage. The basic concepts have Christian underpinnings and are clearly communicated while the examples and applications focus on the marriage relationship.
Practitioners working with couples will find this text helpful because it articulates the dynamics of boundaries, control, and responsibility inherent in every marriage. The book is divided into four parts. They begin by explaining what boundaries are and how individuals can set them for themselves. Next, they address the basics of what each couple has to face when two individuals make a commitment to live as one. How to use boundaries for the healthy resolution of conflict is clarified in part three and the book closes with cautions about how boundaries may be misapplied in marriage.
