OVERVIEW

Anger Control Parenting Course is organized by Genesis Continuing Education (CE) Group. This course has been approved for a maximum of 6 CE Credit Hours.

Course Overview:
Clinicians will learn how to teach parents evidence-based techniques and strategies to diffuse anger-driven situations. Anger Control Parenting (ACP) combines parent anger control and child behavior management training in one easy-to-learn package. Many parents feel as if they are the only ones struggling to control their anger during the daily barrage of disobedience, debates and disrespect. Anger Control Parenting is the first book of its kind to recognize that anger control is an essential parenting skill to be learned. No hodgepodge of techniques, ACP is an integrated approach that guides clinicians and parents, step-by-step, through anger control and child management training.

Clinicians will learn how to train parents, step-by-step to:
• Control their anger while they get their kids to obey the first time
• Not get drawn into verbal battles that escalate into yelling and hurt children's self-esteem
• Motivate their kids to do chores and homework without repeating themselves
• Teach parents how to implement charts, positive reinforcement, time-out, and earning privileges to effect positive, lasting behavioral change
• Get their kids to stop bickering
• Curb rising tempers
• Identify and successfully deal with future problem behaviors and issues as they arise
