Description:
This course discusses aging with spinal cord injury. We will present changes to physiological systems attributed to a spinal cord injury related to chronological age and the aging process.

Course Objectives:
• Identify and discuss changes to physiological systems that are: 
  •  attributed to a spinal cord injury
  •  related to chronological age and the aging process, and 
  •  caused as a result of their interaction.
• Review the social and psychological factors associated with aging with SCI.
• Discuss the relationship between sleep problems and aging with SCI including:
  • Physiological factors
  • Psychological factors, and 
  • Behavioral/environmental factors.
