Addiction Counselors must also guide the client through the treatment process and actively participate in the client's recovery. Addiction counselors have an enormous effect of the treatment process. The largest contributing factor is the counseling relationship. In this course we will review Addiction Counselor qualities and skills, the counselor / client relationship and disclosure, and transference and counter-transference.
