The impact of the epidemic of opioids causing changes in the way health care professionals (HCPs) deal with patients suffering from chronic and acute pain, it is essential for HCPs to provide effective treatment. recognize risk factors and identify the clinical manifestation of the disorders (OUD). In addition, healthcare professionals should remain aware of addiction's neurobiology and the various treatment options available.

The final episode of this CME Outfitters Briefcase series focuses on identifying the red flags of OUD and the best options for taking the next steps to engage patients and develop appropriate treatment strategies

Learning Objectives:
In order to complete this CE activity, participants will be better able to:
• identify risk factors and clinical manifestations of OUD in patients who are prescribed opioids for chronic and acute pain.
• Develop new strategies to involve OUD patients to participate in treatment for OUD.
