Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) Summer Conference (Virtual) - 2022 is organized by Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) and will be held from Jul 31 - to Aug 04, 2022.
Description While it is impossible to predict what summer 2022 might bring, there are a few things that you can be sure of: The WMS has had a great time learning and meeting people from all over the globe, and we will offer a virtual option to those who are unable to travel to Snowmass CO.

• Small group sessions are available for an optional fee, including the popular 14ers lecture series.
• Small group networking and trivia about Wilderness medicine.
• A new conference schedule with a midday break to allow for more education, networking, and time for recreation with friends and family or work.

Program Overview:
All the important topics for summer wilderness will be covered in plenary sessions, both morning and evening. You can choose between a workshop or a small group session in the afternoon.
Who?
WMS conferences are for physicians who are involved in outdoor activities and who counsel others who are doing so.
What?
All lectures, small group sessions, and access to the online platform are included in the registration fee. Post-conference access is also available to audio recordings. Optional virtual workshops can be purchased by registering.

• Recognize the limitations of practicing medicine in harsh environments
• Be adequately prepared to practice medicine in harsh environments
• Recognize and treat common injuries and illnesses in the wild

If you have a product/service that guests are interested in, signing up to be an exhibitor is a great way to get attention. You can join us on-site as a tabletop booth exhibitor in Snowmass CO for opportunities to meet one-on-one during breaks and breakfast, as well as for various networking events. What if you can't make it to the event in person? You may also be able to exhibit online only!

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Written notice of cancellation must reach the WMS office on or before Monday, July 18, 2022 in order to receive a full refund minus $100 service fee.
After July 18, 2022, no refunds will be given.
Registrant can choose to transfer their virtual registration to an in-person registration on or before July 1, 2022 (if capacity allows).
The WMS cannot be responsible for any personal or travel conditions that may prevent attendance at the conference.
ACCOMMODATIONS NEEDED
The WMS is committed to treating all persons with dignity, respect, and fairness. We support and comply with the ADA. In this regard, the WMS will make every reasonable effort to reduce anticipated barriers for attendance and provide an optimal experience for every attendee. We have established speaker guidelines encouraging more inclusive presentations and have closed captioning available for virtual presentations. If there is additional support that you might need.

Registration and attendance at, or participation in, WMS meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to WMS’ use and distribution (now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes of such events and activities.
