Virtual Risk Management Certificate Program

Virtual Risk Management Certificate Program is organized by Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) and will be held from Mar 28 - May 18, 2023.

Description:
The FHCA's Virtual Risk Management Certificate Program is intended to provide learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively adopt or improve the risk management program at their skilled nursing facility. Leaders in risk management, such as members from the Agency for Health Care Administration, will speak on various issues that will centre on advance directives, the implementation of risk requirements mandated by the state of Florida, and federal rules about risks. In addition, participants' understanding of high-risk areas will be expanded during the training. These areas include elopement, severe occurrences and accidents, and others. In addition, participants will receive instruction on the reporting obligations stipulated by state and federal guidelines, particularly regarding the standards of investigation and documentation that are expected of them.

• Outline and discuss Advanced Directives in the nursing centres
• Articulate state and federal risk management reporting requirements
• Brief on the state incident and accident investigation program requirements
• Coordinate a comprehensive investigation with documentation
• Describe effective methods to complete Root Cause Analysis
• Explain the Quality Improvement Process
