Upper Extremity Rehabilitation Symposium 2024 is organized by Andrews Research & Education Foundation (AREF) and will be held from Mar 16 - 17, 2024.

Course Description:
This program will focus on injuries and conditions that primarily affect the upper extremity neck and spine. We look forward to welcoming you as you participate in this unique educational opportunity presented by renown surgeons and therapists known regionally, nationally, and internationally.  The format and content will encourage professional learning of evidence-based clinical information and innovative treatment methods.  Clinical topics covering relevant anatomy, movement mechanics, traumatic and soft tissue injuries, and outcome-focused treatment techniques will be presented.  Lab sessions are designed to advance skills in humerus casting with deltacast, taping for functional motion and for neural pathways, and shoulder reloading and in-depth cervical spine testing.  Specialty topics will focus on treatment decisions and outcomes for unique cases.

Course Objectives:
• Discuss and understand anatomical structures of the upper extremity, neck, and spine
• Review current rehabilitation practices for optimal outcomes of pathologies of the upper extremity, neck, and spine
• Explore advancing therapeutic interventions for upper extremity injuries, neck, and spine
• Analyze best practices for diagnoses, formulating optional treatment plan of cares, and determining appropriate prognoses
• Understand optimal functional outcome measures for determining success in surgery and rehabilitation of the upper extremity, neck, and spine
