Columbia University Irving Medical Center invites you to join the leading educators from Columbia University, addressing Transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CA), which is an underdiagnosed infiltrative cardiomyopathy resulting from the deposition of misfolded transthyretin proteins in the heart. Early detection and a multidisciplinary approach are essential for effective management.
Learning Objectives:
- Clinical presentation, diagnostic methods and risk stratification of patients with newly diagnosed ATTR-CA.
- Management of patients with newly diagnosed systemic ATTR.
- Management of various organ involvement.
- Discuss and develop consensus in guidelines for managing relapsed and refractory cases, including the role of salvage therapies and experimental approaches.
