Radiologists encounter various lesions within the thoracic and lumbar spinal canal in clinical practice, either on dedicated imaging studies or as incidental findings on the scans of thorax and abdomen. In this webinar the differentiating features and clues to the correct diagnosis will be described, based on the specific location and characteristic imaging patterns on MRI and CT exams.

The possible causes of cauda equina syndrome and their radiological appearances will be presented, as well as the rationale for imaging examinations in this clinical setting.

The clinical relevance of the spinal canal lesions and the imaging protocols will also be discussed.
