The Renal Research Institute's 23rd International Conference on Dialysis - Advances in Kidney Disease is organized by Renal Research Institute (RRI) and will be held from Apr 20 - 23, 2021.

Target Audience:
2021’s virtual conference will feature 400 physicians, nurses, fellows, researchers, and scholars, representing more than nine different countries, discussing the most current and innovative scientific insights and developments in nephrology. This year’s conference offers three tracks: pediatric nephrology; general nephrology; and nurse care.

The theme of the meeting is current clinical issues involving kidney healthcare providers with an emphasis on technological and therapeutic advances affecting patient care. This conference is for all professionals interested in the challenges and opportunities facing the kidney disease community.

This forum showcases the most current and cutting-edge scientific insights and developments in nephrology, sharing knowledge from industry thought leaders worldwide.

By the time the virtual three-day conference in April takes place, nephrologists, renal researchers, and kidney experts will have already had online access to a plethora of research and expertise from leading organizations that includes Columbia University, Harvard Medical School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Yale University and Vanderbilt University.

The conference is organized into three core sessions:
? Pediatric Session Track: April 20, 2021
This annual pediatric nephrology course will build upon our experience of more than a decade long programs geared to improve the care of children with chronic or end-stage kidney disease. Our faculty are well-recognized members of this specialty who have conducted research in the areas of basic, clinical sciences, and quality improvement. The carefully identified topics in this program represent timely, state of the art subjects that the audience will use to guide practice.

Upon the completion of this educational activity, learners should be better able to:
• Identify treatment guidelines for pediatric hypertension.
• Describe dialysis management in special populations.
• Describe the impact of COVID-19 in the child Describe the optimal communication with the caregivers of pediatric patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
• Describe inherited and congenital conditions of the kidneys and urinary tract.
• Identify techniques to achieve optimal professional development and academic success.

? General Session Track: April 21 - 23, 2021

• Get a sound understanding of most recent research on the use of extracorporeal therapies for patients with Alzheimer’s disease.
• Appreciate the use of telemedicine and social media in the face of a pandemic.
• Assess the utility of patient-reported outcomes to improve patient care Identify kidney patients with sleep-apnea and assess their risk and advice on treatment options

? Nurse Care Team Track: April 21 - 22, 2021
The Nurse Care Track is designed by nurses for nurses. The program attracts nurse experts across the continuum of nephrology nursing and it's purported with a mission to advance nephrology nursing practice, and positively influence outcomes in response to growing regulatory, safety, and quality issues in nephrology.

The program promotes the professional and clinical role development of nephrology nurses through organized educational meetings that enhance learning, networking, and socialization for the purpose of improving CKD patient outcomes.

Upon the completion of this educational activity, learners should be better able to:
• Describe the impact of COVID-19 on quality and safety standards in the care of CKD patients and their families.
• Identify key nursing care needs and discuss critical issues with dialysis patients and their families. 
• Describe key regulatory and compliance requirements in the care of CKD patients and their families.
• Identify the learning needs of CKD care providers for home patients across the spectrum.
