Teledentistry and the Digitization of Patient Care

Teledentistry and the Digitization of Patient Care is organized by Seattle-King County Dental Society (SKCDS) and will be held on Jan 25, 2022.

Overview :
This virtual session with Dr. Nathan Suter will cover the digital transformation of the patient care journey. Many of these components can be used to facilitate a teledentistry visit or digitize a service that a dental office can provide for patients. Many practices are already using parts of teledentistry or digital dentistry and with new legislation and insurance coverage a practice can maximize the benefits to both the patient and the care team by leveraging technology to deliver care.

Objectives:
• Explain the use and benefits of teledentistry in the context of pre-pandemic, pandemic and post-pandemic care.
• Discuss the application and utility of digital technologies, particularly intraoral scanning, artificial intelligence, and more.
• How implementation of teledentistry can improve access to care and potentially reduce the cost of oral healthcare.
