The TechCellence series is a dynamic quarterly training series designed to empower pharmacy technicians with the essential skills, knowledge, and strategies needed to thrive in today’s evolving healthcare landscape. Developed based on direct feedback from technicians themselves, this series focuses on the real-world challenges and opportunities technicians face in their daily practice. With a blend of virtual workshops, interactive sessions, and hands-on learning, the TechCellence series equips participants with everything from time management and effective communication to mastering the nuances of compounding practices and staying current with licensure requirements. Each session is crafted to elevate your career by providing practical tools and insights that drive personal and professional growth.

Learning Objectives:

Define compounding pharmacy and distinguish between sterile and non-sterile compounding practices.
Identify the role of pharmacy technicians in adhering to USP Chapter 797 (sterile compounding) and USP Chapter 795 (non-sterile compounding) guidelines and key regulatory changes.
Explain the importance of aseptic techniques, garbing procedures, and environment control in sterile compounding to ensure patient safety.
