OVERVIEW
Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist (SRNA) Review Course is organized by Core Concepts Anesthesia Review, LLC and will be held from Mar 20 - 22, 2026.
Description:
Comprehensive review courses of the basic and clinical sciences of anesthesia are offered. The courses are designed for the SRNA preparing for the National Certification Examination as well as the CRNA looking for a thorough review of the basic and clinical sciences. These courses have been developed to review all of the topics noted in the Candidate's Handbook Exam Content Outline, published by the NBCRNA. The course concludes with an analysis of the NCE with information on NCE pass rates, and exam-taking techniques.
- Physics of anesthesia delivery and monitoring systems
- Pharmacology I - inhalational and local anesthetic agents
- Pharmacology II - principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, fluid management
- Pharmacology III - induction agents, opioids, benzodiazepines
- Pharmacology IV - autonomic nervous system, neuromuscular blockers, reversal agents
- Pharmacology V - diuretics, psychotropic agents, antiemetics, histamine blockers, herbals & antimicrobials
- Cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, and pharmacology
- Geriatrics
- Obstetric and gynecologic anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology
- Regional anesthesia and pain management
- CNS anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology
- Respiratory anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology
- Pediatrics
- Endocrine system anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology
- Renal system anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology
- Hematology
- Hepatic anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology
- Anatomy for the anesthetist
- Ethical considerations & legal issues
- Math and formulas for the anesthesia provider (self-study packet)

ACCREDITATION & CREDITS
Credit Info:
With successful completion of the CRNA review course, the participant is awarded 24 MAC Ed Credits (6.5 credits in pharmacology/therapeutics; pain 1) as approved by the AANA (AANA#: 1046336). No post-course testing is required. CRNAs receive the 24 hours of didactic lecture, but are not required to attend the lectures covering the NCE or test-taking techniques.
